Kovaya is a large, well boned, black and red long coat male who is very complimentary to both Dar & Ellie in type, pigmentation and markings.  Kovaya will provide strength in head structure and “tone down” the intensity these girls bring forth, just a little, without losing focus or workability. 

Kovaya is a dog of impeccable temperament, being a friend to all and is in tune with the intricate needs of the human world.  He is excellent with the disabled and with children which is incredibly important to his owner. He is trustworthy with other dogs, cats, horses and geese - all of which he lives with.  Don’t get us wrong - though he has a gentle spirit and a kind heart, this dog is not a couch potato or a pushover.

Breeding Kovaya with our girls will create what we term, a highly trainable crossover litter.  Meaning, these dogs will hold true ALL aspects of the German Shepherd Dog breed.  They will be “more than” just a sport or show line. These puppies will be able to go from an early morning tracking field, to an afternoon at a busy cafe.  They will be capable of being herding guardians, have the courage for protection in sport AND in real life and have the balanced temperament to excel in therapy and search & rescue work.
